Get your child to write down 5 words after reading
Every time your child reads their book, ask them to write down 5 words that they just discovered from reading that book.
Once your child has written the 5 words, ask them to find the definition of each word using a dictionary.
If you would like to challenge your child further, get them to use the words they have discovered in sentences.
This task is brilliant in helping to improve your child’s vocabulary and language skills.
