Our 'Brilliant' students graduate

Members of the school's 'Brilliant Club' graduated from the 'Scholars programme' at a very special ceremony held last week at the prestigious Goldsmith's University in London.

Brilliant Club members are gifted students at Heron Hall who want to stretch themselves further with additional academic challenges. Members are assigned a PhD student to work with and undertake university level work, including writing essays of a standard that would be expected from university students.

Eleven Year 10 students 'graduated' with either a 2:1 or 2:2 mark, collecting certificates at the university to recognise their achievements. Ela and Nyae, from the group, also spoke in front of nearly a hundred people to reflect on their experiences.

David Lee, Heron Hall's Assistant Head Teacher, said: "The whole school is so proud of these young people for their hard work and significant achievements".
