More than one in four A-level grades were A* to B. Sociology was a standout subject, with every grade at A or B. Students also achieved A and A* grades across Biology, Maths, Psychology, Sociology and Turkish.
Level 3 vocational students achieved very strong results, with every student gaining at least one Distinction and two Merits. The results also included triple Distinctions and the highest possible vocational grade. Health and Social Care was a particular strength.
