120 budding Cuckoo authors read their out their fantastic fantasy stories
We might just have the next JK Rowling at Cuckoo Hall after the entire Year 5 group were set the task of writing their own Harry Potter story.
Once they had finished putting pen to paper, they were then asked to read their story to a member of Year 1.
This was a great opportunity for the year groups to get together.
It also helped give the Year 5’s valuable reading aloud experience and the Year 1’s to hone their listening skills.
The readings went really well with some great writing from the Year 5s and some really good concentration from the Year 1s.
Well done to both year groups.
