We are looking for a dedicated and talented RE Teacher to help us deliver an outstanding school that is recognised for producing students who can be successful in any social sphere.
Heron Hall has enjoyed a fantastic £40 million development creating spacious, light teaching areas with our new building complementing the existing listed building which has been fully renovated to an exceptionally high standard. The most recent Ofsted inspection graded the school as ‘good’ in every category.
As RE Teacher you will use suitable classroom practice to deliver courses and create a pleasurable and stimulating learning environment for students. You will present subject content using a variety of teaching approaches, as well as set appropriate home and course work. We will look to you to motivate students and sustain their interest. Important too will be the ability to maintain an awareness of local and national contexts and changes affecting the subject.
You must possess a relevant degree and a recognised teaching
qualification as well as be able to demonstrate knowledge of national
initiatives being implemented in the subject. You will be comfortable planning,
implementing and evaluating the subject curriculum including appropriate
assessment methods. You must be able to work collaboratively within both the
curriculum team and across other curriculum areas too. Good at meeting
deadlines and building relationships you will possess strong organisational and
classroom management skills also.
